Andrew Cheah, Advisor to GRC Consulting Services Sdn Bhd, is an established Corporate Trainer and Management Consultant with more than 25 years of working experience specializing in performance management, productivity improvement, productivity, cost reduction and lean management.

He is the winner of the Malaysian National Productivity Award presented by the Honourable 4th Prime Minister of Malaysia, YBhg. Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad.

Andrew has successfully implemented a Performance Management Systems which are 100% objective, fair and transparent; has led and managed a successful full cycle Productivity Improvement program (analysis, project implementation, change acceptance and perpetuation) for a global food supplement organization. The 10-month program involved teams from Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore which designed and transferred management system that resulted in a quantifiable annualized improvement of at least SGD 2 million.

In addition, he has successfully completed a full cycle Productivity Improvement programme for a Malaysian steel mill. The 9-month program involved teams from Malaysia and Singapore with methodology that resulted in a quantifiable annualized improvement in excess of RM 1.5 million. Andrew has also experience in improving costing (RM12 million) for a facility department of an Electronic Contract Manufacturer.

As a Corporate Trainer, Andrew has trained clients from many industries such as banking, insurance, hospitality, sales and distribution, manufacturing, food, property development, government/public services, and higher education. The ability to speak fluently in English, Mandarin Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia has enabled Andrew to achieve extensive regional exposure in Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, China, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam.

Andrew is also a regular speaker and has been invited to speak at various events such as International Conference on Best Practices, which was graced by senior officials from the Malaysian Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), where Andrew shared the stage with Professor Michael Gregory of the University of Cambridge, Mr. Dieter Heyl Vice, President of Mercedes Benz Malaysia and Dr Marcus Chao, President of Lean China Enterprise Inc.
