Nisa is currently the Executive Director of GRC Consulting Services Sdn Bhd. Prior to GRC Consulting Services Sdn Bhd, she was a Senior Manager of Risk Management Department for Securities Commission (“SC”) who was responsible on the establishment of comprehensive enterprise risk profile and heatmap as well as completion and release of risk reports to Management and Commission resulted from robust identification, assessment and aggregation of SC risk issues. She was responsible to promote risk management culture and practice by garner all business units to collaborate in assessing risks that are consistent between enterprise risk profile, risk mitigation strategies/ controls and business plan.

Nisa was the key person during the revamp process of SC’s ERM framework in 2009 which include the enhancements of the governance structure, risk assessment, control assessment,  and methodology, tools and processes as well as the establishment of automated risk reporting system with algorithms that ensure robust risk calculations. Nisa was incharge to establish ERM Risk Policy, Risk Guidelines and Risk@wiki.

She co-managed RCSA programme with Internal Audit Department and completed pilot project involving one of SC departments. She assisted BCM team in the establishment of Incident Management Handbook and Emergency call card and supported the team during bomb-hoax incident.

Prior to joining SC, Nisa has over 6 years of professional experience of which 4 years were with the risk advisory & internal audit services practice of KPMG. In KPMG, Nisa was exposed to the provision of risk management, internal audit and corporate governance services focusing on multinational and public listed companies involved in healthcare, utilities (water), hotel, fund management, plantation, trading,  pharmaceutical industries.

Nisa was selected as part of a team to carry out operational, financial and internal audit of United Nations Programmes in Laos, Indonesia and Myanmar. The assignments included assessing the effectiveness of the projects’ implementation, monitoring and supervision. Her international experience also spans to South Asia where she led an internal audit for a company listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange in Sri Lanka.

Nisa was selected for secondment to Iskandar Investment Berhad (“IIB”), a subsidiary to Khazanah Nasional Berhad, where she was absorbed into the IIB Management Support Team for monitoring activities. She gained supreme recognition few months later where she was selected to be involved in a major fraud investigation review performed internally by one of the Commercial Banks providing Islamic Banking facilities in Malaysia.

Prior to joining KPMG, Nisa was with MAA where she was involved in Internal Quality Auditing for ISO Standards compliance.
